No. VroomScan works entirely through your phone's microphone. Just start your engine and record - no plugs, cables or scanners required.

How accurate is the AI diagnosis?

Our model is trained on thousands of labelled engine recordings and reports a confidence score with every result. It's a powerful early-warning tool, but it is not a certified diagnosis - always confirm important issues with a qualified mechanic.

Which engines and vehicles are supported?

VroomScan works with most petrol and diesel combustion engines across cars, vans and light trucks. Fully electric vehicles are not supported since they have no engine sound to analyse.

Is VroomScan free?

Yes - you get 3 free scans every month. VroomScan Pro unlocks unlimited scans, PDF reports, an ad-free experience, priority analysis and multi-vehicle profiles.

How do I sign in - is there a password?

There are no passwords. Enter your email and we'll send a 6-digit one-time code to verify you. Quick, secure and nothing to forget.

What languages and units does it support?

The interface is fully localization-ready with km/miles toggles, locale-aware dates and regional currency. RTL languages such as Arabic are supported.

Are my recordings private?

Yes. Recordings are processed to generate your diagnosis and are never sold or shared. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
